Community Outreach Tools

If you are interested in reducing pesticide use in your area, Healthy Communities Project is here to help in any way we can. We welcome the opportunity to staff an information table and/or conduct a natural lawn care workshop at your next event, or we can provide our table display and print materials for you to distribute, as well as a little coaching to make you feel comfortable doing the job!
We receive many phone calls every year from people who are concerned about pesticides but don’t feel comfortable expressing their concerns to their neighbors or public officials. Taking the time to share your concerns and providing well substantiated data to back up those concerns is a crucial step in the pesticide reduction process. Our goal is to make this process as easy for you as possible, so we’ve created the following sample letters and downloadable resources to help you get started:
- Letter to Neighbor - PDF - Word
- Letter to Public Official - PDF - Word
- Chemical Fact Sheet - PDF
- Pesticides and Your Health - PDF
- Recent Studies
- Healthy Lawn Program
- Natural Turf Management for Municipalities and School Districts
- Natural Turf Management Pilot Project
